Christine first came to Pilates as a means to manage joint hypermobility, poor coordination and body idiosyncrasies. She has been teaching since 2012 and is passionate about sharing holistic movement and wellness. Her education spans from biosciences to Pilates and yoga. Christine also has experience in martial arts, somatics and nutrition and is a non-specific lower back pain specialist and meditation teacher.
Her classes are a mix of diligent discipline with fun and nurturing. She is excited by creating sessions that move more than just muscles. Christine prefers to instruct a fair portion of her sessions with clients on their feet, ensuring that they functionally reap the benefits from the other exercises.
Challenges are how we grow, mistakes make us human and learning from them brings us wisdom.
Christine is interested in working with all clients and making Pilates accessible. Especially, people who are on the hypermobile spectrum, with spine and hip/leg pathologies or neurodivergence.
Client-centred and trauma-informed practices are at the heart of how Christine relates to her clients. A person is more than what we see.
