Pilates, Meditation, and Yoga in Your Workplace
‘Wellness’ at work has become quite a buzz word over recent years, and continues to gain momentum, but why is that? Well, when you read about some of the benefits to be gained from introducing a ‘Wellness Programme,’ into your business, the answer soon becomes abundantly clear..
- Increased productivity
- Improved physical and mental health
- Improved morale
- Reduced sickness
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Alleviation of back problems, shoulder tension, and poor posture related to working in an office environment
By introducing Pilates, Meditation, and Yoga through Core-Focus as part of your ‘Wellness Programme,’ Christine (and her small team of specialist instructors) will deliver bespoke solutions for your business.
Options Available
Pilates and/or Yoga – Classes are generally the most cost-effective way to deliver Pilates and/or Yoga, the size of which, will be dependent on the space your business has available. Traditionally, Pilates and yoga would be practised on a mat, requiring a certain amount of floor space so the exercises can be achieved lying down. Where space is of a premium, however, a number of exercises and stretches can be done from a chair and/or in an upright standing position.
Meditation – This service is typically delivered seated. Some individuals prefer to be sat on a chair as they find this more comfortable (familiar), others prefer to be sat on the floor using equipment such as bolsters/cushions/blocks, or lying down.
Workstation Efficiency – Ergonomic chairs and workstations can only offer so much. Consequently, an additional service offered by Core-Focus is how to efficiently align one’s body at the workstation. Whilst regular movement is fundamental to keeping the body in good working order, there are some additional techniques Christine can teach your staff that can greatly impact and benefit those who are suffering from, or prone to suffering from, back, shoulder, and neck pain.
1:1 Sessions – Where required, specialist one-on-one instruction can also be made available to those individuals needing a more focused approach.
In summary, dependent on your ‘Wellness Programme’ goals, Core-Focus can help you to identify, create, implement and execute the right ‘Wellness Options’ for your business.
